To access the MyCase Client Portal, you will receive a new account link from the law firm. Upon receiving the link, follow the instructions to create a personal password. If you ever forget your password, simply go to the law firm’s website and click on the Client Login. From there, click on “Forgot Password” and follow the prompts to reset your password. For added convenience, MyCase also offers a mobile app for easy access to the portal from your smartphone or tablet. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices, ensuring seamless connectivity on the go.

3. Exploring the Home Screen

Once you’ve logged into the MyCase Client Portal, you’ll be greeted by the Home Screen. This screen serves as the central hub for all your case-related activities. Let’s take a closer look at the key components of the Home Screen:

The “What’s New” section provides you with a quick overview of any new messages, documents, or invoices that have been shared with you. This ensures that you stay up to date with the latest developments in your case.

The menu tabs at the top of the Home Screen allow you to navigate seamlessly between different sections of the MyCase Client Portal. These tabs include:

  • Home: Takes you back to the Home Screen, providing a quick overview of your case.
  • Messages: Provides access to your inbox, allowing you to communicate securely with your legal team.
  • Documents: Stores all case-related documents, making it easy to access and review important files.
  • Events: Displays a calendar view of all upcoming events and appointments related to your case.
  • Billing: Provides a comprehensive overview of your billing information, including invoices and payment options.

8. Uploading Documents

One of the most powerful features of the MyCase Client Portal is the ability to upload and share documents securely. Instead of relying on traditional methods like email or mail, you can easily upload documents directly to the portal. Here’s how:

  1. Navigate to the Documents tab in the MyCase Client Portal.
  2. Click on the “+” sign to initiate the document upload process.
  3. Provide a descriptive name for the document to help you easily identify it.
  4. Choose the appropriate case and specify the individuals who should have access to the document.
  5. Click on “Choose File” to select the document from your device’s files.
  6. Once selected, click “Upload” to complete the process.

Upon successful upload, all relevant parties associated with the case will be notified of the new document. The uploaded document will be securely stored in the designated case folder, ensuring easy retrieval and organization. It’s important to note that you can move documents to different folders within the portal if desired, further enhancing document management capabilities.

  5. Enter the subject line and compose your message in the designated field.

10. Managing Invoices and Payments

The MyCase Client Portal simplifies the billing and payment processes, allowing you to view, review, and pay invoices conveniently. Here’s how you can manage your invoices and make payments:

  1. Access the Billing tab in the MyCase Client Portal.
  2. In the Invoice List, you’ll find a comprehensive overview of all your invoices.
  3. Click on an individual invoice to view the details and review the contents.
  4. If your law firm is enrolled with MyCase Payments, you’ll have the option to click on “Pay Now” for online payment.
  5. Follow the prompts to enter your payment information securely.
  6. Choose your preferred payment method, whether it’s credit card or eCheck.
  7. Make a partial or full payment, depending on the invoice amount.
  8. Confirm your payment and receive a confirmation receipt for your records.
